You won't need to obtain the weight of the entire door, just the un-hinged side. You'll want to find the amount of weight you'll need to overcome to easily lift the door. You could use an old bathroom scale, place some blocking on it, and rest the open side of the ramp on it. Depending on your dimensions, the double torsion springs fit 96 inches wide, # CB250D96SHD or the 81 inches wide, # ERS120D81 would be used. Unfortunately, we don't offer the torsion springs as an individual item. I'd recommend the # M384FR 6-foot spirng assembly which includes the shaft, drums, cable and all the needed hardware for installation.
